Business Consulting that actually changes what happens on Monday morning

Most consulting reports end up in a drawer. Ours don't, because we stay until the changes stick. We work with owner-managed businesses across Northern Ireland and the wider UK, fixing the operational problems that eat profit quietly.

If your revenue is growing but your margins aren't, or your team keeps solving the same problems month after month, we should talk.

Four weeks from diagnosis to action plan

We don't spend six months writing a strategy document. Here's how a typical engagement unfolds, start to finish.

Diagnostic week

We interview your leadership team, review your P&L by product line, and map the decisions that get made (and the ones that don't). This takes five working days.

Root-cause analysis

We trace margin leakage, bottlenecks, and duplicated effort back to their sources. Often it's a pricing structure set years ago, or a reporting gap nobody noticed.

Recommendations workshop

A half-day session with your senior team. We present findings, debate priorities, and agree on three to five changes ranked by impact and feasibility.

Implementation support

We stay involved for 90 days after the workshop: weekly check-ins, adjusted KPIs, and hands-on help when your team hits friction rolling things out.

Six areas where we make a measurable difference

Each engagement is scoped around one or two of these areas. We don't sell a menu; we solve the problem that matters most right now.

Pricing and margin recovery

We audit every product or service line, identify where discounting habits and legacy pricing quietly erode profit, and rebuild your pricing framework. Typical margin improvement in the first year: 4 to 9 percentage points.

Leadership and succession planning

Owner-managed firms hit a ceiling when everything still runs through one person. We design reporting structures, delegate decision rights, and prepare your second tier to lead, whether you plan to step back or simply want weekends off.

Growth strategy

Expansion into new markets, new customer segments, or new geographies. We build the financial model, test assumptions with real data, and create a phased rollout plan so you can grow without breaking what already works.

Operational efficiency

We map your workflows end to end, identify handoff delays and duplicated tasks, and redesign processes. One manufacturing client cut order-to-dispatch time from 11 days to 4 after a single engagement.

Cash flow and working capital

Profitable businesses still fail when cash runs out. We restructure payment terms, tighten debtor management, and model rolling 13-week cash forecasts so you always know what's coming.

Management reporting and KPIs

If your monthly board pack takes two weeks to prepare and nobody reads it, something is wrong. We design dashboards your team will actually use, with five to eight metrics that drive the decisions you need to make.

Numbers, not adjectives

We track outcomes 12 months after each engagement closes. Here are three figures from the past two years.

£2.1m

Recovered margin for a 40-person logistics firm by restructuring customer contracts and eliminating two unprofitable routes

37%

Reduction in order-processing time for a food distributor after workflow redesign and a simple software change

14 weeks

Average time from first call to measurable financial impact across all engagements completed since 2024

Straight answers

The diagnostic phase is a fixed fee of £3,500. Implementation support is priced monthly, typically between £2,000 and £5,000 depending on scope. We agree the number before we start, and it doesn't change unless you ask us to do more.

Yes. About a third of our clients are based elsewhere in the UK. The diagnostic week is done on-site wherever you are; subsequent check-ins happen by video unless you prefer in-person meetings.

Most of our clients have between 15 and 200 employees and turnover of £2m to £30m. Below that range, the diagnostic cost is hard to justify. Above it, you probably already have an internal strategy team.

Happily. After an initial conversation we can connect you with two or three former clients in similar industries. We ask their permission first, so allow a couple of days.

Good. That means the workshop is working. Our job is to give you a clear, evidence-backed view. Yours is to weigh it against context we might not see. We revise priorities together until the plan is something you'll actually follow through on.

A fractional hire fills an ongoing role. We solve a specific problem and leave. Sometimes the right recommendation is to hire a fractional CFO, and we'll tell you that. We're not trying to create a permanent dependency.

Tell us what's going on

Describe the problem in a few sentences. We'll reply within one working day with an honest assessment of whether we can help.
